Created from torso-focused imagery to centre the body itself, removing identity and allowing the focus to rest on form, feeling, and presence. By stepping away from the face, the work invites a quieter and more intimate way of seeing, where the body is no longer something to perform, but something to simply exist.​

I often collect natural materials such as driftwood or stone during my walks, drawn to forms that quietly mirror the human body. Some pieces bend, curve, or hold tension in ways that feel almost familiar. Each surface is carefully prepared and primed before becoming part of the artwork, carrying its own texture, history, and connection to the natural world.​

Painted on surfaces including paper, reclaimed canvas, driftwood, or stone, every piece is entirely unique, shaped not only by the image, but by the material it lives on.

Each body portrait is hand painted using a mixed media process and vibrant colour, shifting the focus away from how a body is supposed to look, and instead opening space for a more expressive and intuitive way of seeing. Colour becomes a way to soften judgement, to disrupt expectation, and to reimagine the body beyond fixed ideas of form. You are also invited to contribute your own meaningful material for me to paint on, allowing your story to live not only in the image, but in the surface itself. Objects can carry memory, weight, and personal history, turning the artwork into something even more deeply yours.
